Daily life in an urban jungle
Summary
Visiting the United States for the first time was awe-inspiring. People, especially those in major urban centres, were sociable, curious, and highly entrepreneurial. Everything felt larger and more expansive. It was also my first time documenting travel through the lens of a professional camera, which made me notice things differently. Much of America seemed to sprawl endlessly, either rising vertically or stretching horizontally without a clear edge. As a designer, I was struck by the architectural symmetry and the way cities were structured around grid systems. There was a distinct sense of order, scale, and repetition, echoing the aspirations of manufacturing and mass production.
